About Us

Venture Built Industries started the way most good things do — with a problem and a refusal to settle for a bad solution. As Go Fast Campers owners, we wanted proper chase lights for the trail, but nothing on the market fit the GFC cleanly without looking like an afterthought or requiring permanent modifications. So we built our own. What started as a personal fabrication project turned into a precision-machined system we're proud enough to share with the broader truck camper community. Every product we make is designed from the perspective of someone who actually uses it — on dusty two-tracks, mountain passes, and long highway stretches in between. We're a new company, but we're building with the same standard we hold for our own rigs: no compromises.

Phil Ryder

Founder, Co-Owner

Phil’s path to building precision off-road gear started in aviation, both in the Army and as a contractor, working on helicopter and airplane avionics, electrical, and weapons systems. After aviation he transitioned into tech, building a career as a software engineer while never losing his hands-on instincts. During COVID he channeled that drive into Peak to Peak Offroad, a small business crafting custom drawer systems for vehicles, where he discovered a passion for purpose-built overlanding solutions. Based in Denver with his girlfriend Kelli and three dogs, Phil has been exploring trails and backcountry roads since 2017 — and Venture Built Industries is the natural next chapter of that journey, combining everything he’s learned to build gear he’s proud to run on his own rig.

Brian Beaudin

Co-Owner

Brian brings a lifetime of off-roading passion and over a decade of rigorous engineering experience to every product he designs. Growing up in the mountains of Colorado, Brian developed a deep respect for the outdoors and a clear understanding of the gear required to navigate it. He holds a mechanical engineering degree from the South Dakota School of Mines and specializes in precision manufacturing.

With an extensive background in the off-road industry—including eight years at C4 Fabrication advancing from Design Engineer to General Manager, and his current role as Director of Systems and Engineering at Sherpa Equipment Co.—Brian designs products engineered to withstand the toughest trails. When he is not fine-tuning a new manufacturing process or designing gear, he can be found exploring the mountains of Colorado with his wife, daughter, and their dog, Pabst.
